Our Mission:
To translate the strategic mastery, rigorous logic, and tactical problem-solving of chess into the engineering and programming of competitive robotics.
Our Vision:
We believe the best engineers are strategic thinkers. Tri Bridges is building a robotics team where the calculated foresight used on a 64-square board is applied directly to mechanical design, autonomous coding, and real-world innovation. We are creating an environment where our members can turn analytical thinking into moving reality, proving that the mindset required to win a chess match is the exact same mindset needed to engineer the future.
Ready to take your strategic thinking off the board and into the arena? We are currently recruiting members for our inaugural VEX Robotics season, and we want you on the team.
No Experience Necessary: You don’t need to know how to code or use a wrench to join. If you have a willingness to learn and a mind for problem-solving, we will teach you the rest!
The Competition: We compete in VEX Robotics, a premier, fast-paced global robotics competition. You will work hands-on with a team to design, build, and program a robot to solve dynamic, head-to-head challenges.
There’s a Role for Everyone: It takes a diverse team to win a robotics championship. We are looking for:
Builders & Engineers: Design, assemble, and test the robot’s physical mechanisms.
Programmers: Write the code that brings the robot to life (both autonomous and driver-controlled).
Strategists & Analysts: Analyze game rules, scout opponents, and plan our match strategies—perfect for chess players!
Media & Business: Design our team branding, manage social media, and help us connect with sponsors.
Where & When:
Location: 666 Exton Commons
Meeting Times: Flexible! We know students have busy schedules, so we coordinate our build and practice times around the availability of our team members.
Building a competitive VEX Robotics team requires more than just strategic minds; it requires the right hardware, tools, and resources. By sponsoring Tri Bridges Robotics, you are directly investing in the next generation of engineers, programmers, and analytical thinkers in our community.
What Your Sponsorship Funds: Starting a robotics team from the ground up is an exciting challenge, but it comes with initial start-up costs. Your financial support goes directly toward:
Robot Hardware & Electronics: Purchasing the core VEX robotics kits, motors, sensors, batteries, and structural metal required to build a highly competitive machine.
Competition & Registration Fees: Covering the costs to register our team with VEX and enter local and regional tournaments throughout the season.
Tools & Practice Field Elements: Equipping our workspace at Exton Commons with necessary tools, safety gear, and official VEX game elements to test our designs.
Partnership Benefits: We are actively seeking foundational sponsors for our inaugural season. Sponsoring our team offers excellent visibility within the community. Depending on your level of support, sponsorship benefits can include:
Your company logo and a backlink on our team website.
Dedicated shoutouts on our social media channels.
Company logo placement on our official team apparel.
Your company logo or decal featured directly on our competition robot.
Tax Deductible Giving: Tri Bridges Chess Club is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All sponsorships and financial donations to our robotics program are fully tax-deductible.
