Summer Break Adult Camp – 8/24 – 8/28

August 24 @ 9:00 am - August 28 @ 4:00 pm
$300

Camp by IM Igor Khmelnitsky–1 to 4 afternoon

Camps will largely follow the following setup.

The material covered depends on sign-ups, but broadly the classes will vary from openings to middle game strategy to endings and all the tactics in between. If you need me, I will mostly be on site, but I will work on other chess projects or the American Chess Archive.

Days will be pro-rated if you can only attend some days during a week. The cost is $300 for the half-day camp for the full week or $75 a day.\

A few words from the instructor:

“Enjoy Chess and Improve Your Game!” – Chess Vacation for Rated Adult

Players (1000-1800), at Tri-bridges Chess Club.

Introduction: Join us this summer at Tri-Bridges Chess Club in Exton Commons for a focused, high-impact 5-day
chess camp designed for adults rated 1000–1800. Led by International Master Igor Khmelnitsky, participant of 4
US Championships, 2021 US Open Senior Champion, Certified FIDE Coach and award-winning author of the
Chess Exam books and Chess Teacher’s Manual (Kasparov Chess Foundation). This camp offers great learning
opportunities through structured analysis, thematic lessons, and hands-on practice. Whether you attend all five
days or drop in for a single session, you’ll sharpen your skills, deepen your understanding, and have fun.
Camp / Daily Seminar Format (12–5 PM):
Each day of the camp / seminar is built around 3 self-contained one-hour instructional lessons with IM Igor
Khmelnitsky. Every lesson focuses on a specific topic, so attending one day is not required to benefit from the
next day’s material. Players may join for the full week or participate on selected days. The day starts and ends with
1 hour access to the Tri-Bridges Chess club with extensive library full of modern and vintage books.
1–4 PM: Instructional Session with IM Igor Khmelnitsky
• Personalized analysis of recent tournament games
• Thematic lessons to improve decision-making and tactical awareness
• Interactive group learning with actionable insights
• Blitz and Puzzle solving competitions with prizes on Thursday and Friday (included).
12-1PM & 4–5 PM: Optional Club Hour of play and practice with Joshua Anderson.
