Wanting to encourage a bit of boldness in the chess players in the region, Cherry Perumalla and Christopher Romeril greatly helped me put the following tournament together.
Time Control: G30/d10 – 5 rounds
Prizes: $2500 total over 2 Sections – Open and Under 1000. Numerous Under Prizes.
Open – $650 – $400 – $250; Under 1800 – $100; Under 1600 – $75; Under 1400 – $50; Under 1200 – $50
Under 1000 – $300, $200, $100, Under 800 – $75, Under 600 – $50
EF $50; $70 10/3 or after; Under 1000 EF $30; $40 10/3 or after
Registration ends at 9:45 – 10, 11:30, 1:30, 3:00, 4:30. The extra half hour after the 11:30 round should allow people to get lunch from wherever they like.
