Chess Basics – Weekly 04/3 to 05/22

This class will assume you can move the pieces, but cover the three special rules, basic checkmates, and the like.  The design of the class is very hands-on and interactive, though with some chess discussion at the beginning.

The class starts on 4/3 and will meet on 4/3, 10, 17, 24, and May 5/1, 8, 15, 22. It is designed for children in the 5—to 8-year age range, though older and younger children may be accepted. Vahini Sadhu Venkata teaches the class, and she currently ranks in the Top 50 in her age group. The class has rolling admission, and the cost will reflect that.
