This event is the official Pennsylvania Senior Open. You must be 50 or older to play and may be from any state. However, to represent Pennsylvania in the Irwin Championship at the U. S. Open, you must be a citizen of Pennsylvania.
One section – G/90 d5. Round Times: Saturday – 10 – 1:30 – 5; Sunday 9:30 – 1
Prizes: Irwin representative for top Pennsylvanian; 1st Overall – $200, 2nd Overall – $100; Top Under 2000 – $90; Top Under 1800 – $80; Top Under 1600 – $70; Top Under 1400 – $60; Top Under 1200 – $50; Top Under 1000 – $50; Top Upset – $50

Please note that there are stairs to both playing areas. If this is a problem, I can arrange to use a room on the main floor (there are still two steps to get into the building), but it would be helpful to know beforehand. Coffee/tea/water is available. Fast food/sit-down restaurants/convenience stores are within a few minutes’ commute. Two or three hotels are about 5 minutes away, and many are within about 20 minutes. There will also be a small selection of chess literature for sale.
One half-point bye allowed; must declare by the start of round 2.
