Tri-Bridges Chess Club is fortunate to have Grandmaster Bryan Smith give a simul for our members. All are welcome. It is $20.
Bryan Smith grew up in Anchorage, Alaska. He became a grandmaster in 2013 and is the first and only one from Alaska.
Some major tournaments he has won include the National Chess Congress in 2008, 2009, and 2017; the 2006 U.S. Masters, the 2010 Philadelphia International; and the 2011 Limpedea Cup (Romania).
He was the Pennsylvania Champion in 2007.
Most recently he won the championship of the Württemberg region of Germany in 2025.
He has written a book, The Najdorf in Black and White as well as a weekly column on Chess.com from 2011 until 2015.
