DESCRIPTION:Don’t miss this opportunity to take on Grandmaster Bryan Smith.  GM Smith grew up in Anchorage\, Alaska. He became a grandmaster in 2013 and is the first and only one from Alaska. \nSome major tournaments he has won include the National Chess Congress in 2008\, 2009\, and 2017; the 2006 U.S. Masters\, the 2010 Philadelphia International; and the 2011 Limpedea Cup (Romania).\nHe was the Pennsylvania Champion in 2007.\nMost recently he won the championship of the Württemberg region of Germany in 2025.\nHe has written a book\, The Najdorf in Black and White as well as a weekly column on Chess.com from 2011 until 2015.”\nThe simul will take place at 7 PM in the Malvern Room. \nAt 6:30 there will be pizza and ice cream in the upstairs back room.  This is also where the kids will play the next day! \nYou may leave when ever your game is done\, but we estimate the last games going until about 10 pm. \nThis is not really a tournament and is not rated\, but since many of you dream of beating a GM in a tournament game\, I decided to post this here.
