DESCRIPTION:This event is the official Pennsylvania Haring Qualifier. You must be a scholastic female player.  You may be from any state. However\, to represent Pennsylvania in the Haring Championship at the U. S. Open\, you must be a citizen of Pennsylvania.\nOne section – G/90 d5. Round Times: Saturday – 10 – 1:30 – 5; Sunday 9:30 – 1\nPrizes: Irwin representative for top Pennsylvanian; 1st Overall – $200\, 2nd Overall – $100; Top Under 2000 – $90; Top Under 1800 – $80; Top Under 1600 – $70; Top Under 1400 – $60; Top Under 1200 – $50; Top Under 1000 – $50; Top Upset – $50 \nEntry Fee: $30 \nCoffee/tea/water is available. Fast food/sit-down restaurants/convenience stores are within a few minutes’ commute. Two or three hotels are about 5 minutes away\, and many are within about 20 minutes. There will also be a small selection of chess literature for sale. \nOne half-point bye allowed; must declare by the start of round 2. \nWhen signing up\, click blue registration button\, fill out form\, click submit\, and then reload page to see if you want to double check that you have signed up. \n

DESCRIPTION:Camp by Ram – 9 to 12 morning\, 1 to 4 afternoon or come all day \nCamps will largely follow the following set up. \nThe material covered is dependent on sign-ups\, but broadly the classes will vary from openings to middle game strategy to endings and all the tactics in between.  I will mostly be on-site should I be needed\, but will largely be working on the Chess Journalists of America Awards\, several book projects\, or the American Chess Archive. \nDays will be pro-rated if you can only attend some days during a week.  The cost is $125 for a week of the half day camp\, $250 for a week of the full day camp. \n
